Exploratory Visual Compositions of Pose Estimation is a series of visual encodings of data derived from PoseNet, a machine learning model that allows for real-time pose estimation. The model attempts to identify key features of a person such as her eyes, mouth, and ears, as well as the joints of her body and how they connect. Case Study: “William Forsythe Solo” In this case study, a sample video from “William Forsythe Solo” was used to generate a series of data abstractions showing the PoseNet detections of the dancer, William Forsythe, in time and space.
