Community Energy Explorer

A guide to developing sustainable community energy resources in Vancouer, BC.

About

The Community Energy Explorer provides a set of tools for exploring community energy; it breaks down the possibilities and advantages and possible challenges of developing community energy in the context of Metro Vancouver. The project is about creating more accessible, Metro Vancouver specific analysis and recommendations around community energy possibilities in the region.

As a “digital cartographer” as part of UBC’s Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS), I had the opportunity to work on developing the community energy map - an interactive web map that allows people to explore the potential renewable energy sources in Vancouver.
