Animated Vancouver 3-1-1 calls

Animated 311 phone calls for Vancouver's service calls

In the fall of 2015, I was helping teach a class at UBC around web mapping and data processing for geographers. One of the workshops was around web mapping with Cartodb, now Carto. The result of the workshop was a visualization of 1-month of 3-1-1 maintenance phone calls in the City of Vancouver. The visualization uses Carto’s Torque.js, a powerful animation library for visualizing timeseries data on the web.
